Recording Projects - May
2004
This month, Martha
and gypsy jazz guitarist, Alfonso Ponticelli, recorded
Melancholy Tango, for the second album by Alfonso and his
band, Swing Gitan www.swinggitan.com . Recording continues for Starina's
upcoming album with an additional ballad featuring cello and
piano. Meanwhile, Martha and Chico Malo spent time at
Angel City Recording Studio laying down string tracks for a new
release by Epicycle's Ellis Clark www.epicycle.co.uk.
CD Releases
Phil Angotti's
new CD Songs from the Movie "Juliet Foster" will be
released this month. Come celebrate the event with Phil and

Starina Chatchaturian www.superstarina.com released her
new album in December. Thanks to all who joined us at the CD
re;ease [arty at the famed Uncommon
Ground.

While in
New York this month, Martha had the pleasure of taking a lesson with
esteemed jazz cellist, Karen Patterson. Karen's efforts have
been paramount in advancing the awareness and enjoyment of jazz
cello playing in jazz festivals and venues around the

The Chicago
Album - Fall 2004
As a tribute to all of the Chicago musicians with whom Martha
has worked over the past few years, she will be recording a CD in
collaboration with a variety of talented local artists.
